Plastic products

Pearl powder is uniformly dispersed throughout the plastic matrix via injection molding, extrusion, or blow-molding processes, endowing products such as cosmetic packaging, toys, and appliance housings with a pearly inner luster and metallic texture.

The pearlescent materials from Ruicai Technology, with particle sizes of less than 15 μm and 5–25 μm, not only impart a silky metallic texture to plastic products but also, coarse-particle-size pearlescent materials ranging from 40–300 μm and 100–700 μm can create a starry, shimmering effect in end products.

Ink and Printing

In the fields of ink and printing, pearlescent inks are used for high-end packaging (such as cigarette and liquor packaging, gift boxes, and labels), securities authentication, and special-purpose printed materials. These inks can produce pearl-like luster and iridescent effects that cannot be achieved with conventional inks. Moreover, due to their unique optical properties, they are often employed as a straightforward anti-counterfeiting measure, making it more difficult to counterfeit products and enhancing both their sophistication and security.

It is recommended to use pearlescent pigments of industrial grade with a particle size no greater than 5–25 μm. If the particle size is too large, issues such as ink buildup and screen mesh clogging may occur. Additionally, it’s important to note that due to the inherent specific gravity of pearlescent pigments, they tend to settle in low-viscosity inks; therefore, they must be thoroughly stirred before use.

Cosmetics and Personal Care

Pearl powder is an indispensable ingredient in cosmetics, widely used in foundations, eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks, and nail polishes to provide brightening, color enhancement, and shimmering effects. In skincare products such as lotions, it is used to refine skin texture and impart a soft, radiant glow to the skin.

By being added to pigment pastes or polishing compounds, pearl powder, through the adhesive action of resins, forms a decorative coating on the leather surface, imparting an elegant pearly luster and metallic texture that significantly enhances the aesthetic appeal and visual impact of leather products.

Textiles and Ceramics

Textiles:Pearlescent powder is applied to textiles via printing processes. It is incorporated into printing pastes and then printed onto fabrics, producing multi-layered, soft shimmer effects under different light sources and angles. This material is widely used in coated products such as garments and umbrella fabrics.

Industrial-grade pearlescent materials, such as the Ruicai Silver-White Series, Gold Series, and Rainbow Series, are extensively used in textiles, adding value to fabrics.
